Let me seek and hear often these words, "The Lord also has put away your sin." Let me also see clearly that the consequences of my sin often remain, even when You have forgiven. Hold this truth before me as I face temptation, and keep me from lightly yielding to sin and counting merely on the assumption that it will be forgiven. Show me the horrible results of sin upon my family, our congregation, myself, and most of all, upon Your glory before men. When such consequences befall me, let me acknowledge that Your judgments are just, and that You work all things, even these consequences, together for my good. AMEN
